The dream of a Brantford Dismas started in late 2015 after a meeting between the chaplain at the Brantford Jail and representatives of New Life Prison Ministry.
The chaplain had a vision for how he could encourage the local churches in Brantford to support and encourage the men he was ministering to in the jail after their release.
The Dismas meetings started in 2017 after a couple of training meetings for Dismas volunteers.
